This imaginary garden is depicted as an apparent marvel or as shooting stars in reverse. It seems to condense all possible landscapes where the viewer can be as a mere spectator but not as a performer. It is a sort of fantasy décor, like a stage trick, that could very easily be in the world of Jules Verne, with a visual resolution close to Max Ernst or Joan Miró at their purest and, in general, to the early Surrealism of the ‘magnetic fields’. The stringy plants seem to end in a star, whose weightless movement heightens the feeling of floating and the generation of an infinite space. However, even though the way in which the objects are depicted verges on Surrealism, they are located on a pictorial surface using clear avant-garde techniques, in greenish blues and pinks and ending in a deep blue that accentuates the ethereal feeling of space…
