OPEN DOORS PROGRAMME. Exhibition brochure
Brochure for the Open Doors free guided tours programme. The tours take in the most iconic architectural spaces in the Banco de España building on Plaza Cibeles and some of the artworks in its core collection.
Visitors have a chance to see spaces such as the imperial staircase, the main banking hall (now the library), the recently restored collection hall and the trading floor. They can also view Goya's paintings of the governors of the Banco Nacional de San Carlos (the forerunner to today's Banco de España) and the twin portrait photographs by Annie Leibovitz of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, which, following their presentation at the bank's The Tyranny of Chronos exhibition, are now on display in the boardroom.
The brochure gives details of the items on show and offers useful information on the dates, times and duration of the tours and nearby public transport. It also contains a QR code for making online bookings. All the works of art shown in the brochure form part of the Banco de España Collection.
N.B. Please note that the downloadable PDF version of the catalogue (see left-hand column) may not fulfil some WCAG 2.0 guidelines on accessibility. However most of the content is available, in an accessible format that meets 'Double A' criteria, from the Collection section of the website.
