The case of this mantel clock features two full-length female figures, wearing classical garb and garlands. The sculpture, in patinated bronze is signed 'Pumaige' (?) on the base and stands on a pedestal of red veined marble housing the clock face. The pedestal also formerly housed the movement, probably of pendule de Paris type. The pedestal has a curved edge and is decorated with ovals on the sides and a gilded bronze fillet.
The dial is framed by a gilded metal bezel with oval ornamenting. The hours are in Roman numerals painted in black. Two blued metal hands.
The original movement has not been preserved.
Each of the other items in the garniture features a woman dressed in classical garb wearing a headdress and holding a palm frond in one hand and a five-armed candelabra in the other. The cylindrical pedestals resemble the base of the clock and are decorated with ovals at the side and gilt filleting. The arms of the candelabra are ornamented with vegetal motifs and spikes and end in a contoured profile sconce and a garlanded capital. In the centre, there is a baluster topped by a pineapple.
