Virginia Albarrán Martín has a Phd in History of Art from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has been awarded various Spanish and international research scholarships, as well as for museum studies. She has been working as a researcher in the Eighteenth-Century Painting and Goya Area at the Museo del Prado since 2010. Her main line of research is eighteenth-century Spanish art, in particular, the painter Agustín Esteve.
