Susana Núñez graduated in Economics and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. She joined the technical area of the Banco de España in 1974 and was appointed Director of the Payment Systems Department in 2000. During this period, she has represented the Banco de España in different working groups and on international committees, including the Joint Working Group of the Committee of European Securities Regulators and the European System of Central Banks. She has also been a member of Iberpay and of the Iberclear Boards of Directors.
