Pilar Sáez Lacave graduated in History of Art from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Masters in Museology from the Ecole du Louvre and a PhD from the Blaise Pascal University in Clermont-Ferrand and the Autonomous University of Madrid. She specialises in the painter Josep Maria Sert, about whom she has written publications and curated several exhibitions such as Le titan à l’œuvre, (2012). She has been awarded grants by the La Caixa Foundation, Villa Medicis and the ICO Foundation. She is a founding member of elar/lab.
